What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Aston Carter?
Responsibilities:
· Provide financial and business analysis and guidance for large business purchases, potential acquisitions and/or mergers (with support from company attorneys)
· Sign and check tax forms, transfer MD S&U, dispute locals, and collaborate with IRS as needed
· Manage and process various insurance types, including health, professional liability, general liability, Worker’s Compensation, cybersecurity, drone, and auto
· Review bank accounts, maintain money market accounts, manage incoming ACH payments, transfer funds from 03 to 01 accounts, and provide financial statements for credit worthiness
· Manage and oversee tasks surrounding 401-K / PSP (Profit Sharing Plan), legal, accounting (year-end and project)

Requirements:
· Active CPA
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or similar field) and 10-15 years' relevant experience
· Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) field preferred
· Must be familiar with S Corporations
