Description:
The patient coordinator is a vital part of the office team as the first point of contact with the patients.
They are responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and collecting copays in a professional and friendly manner
Answer phones timely
Schedule patient appointments
Collects co-payments and outstanding balances
Filing, faxing, and other miscellaneous front desk tasks
Knowledge of multiple insurances, referral, and authorization process
Troubleshoot insurance claims issues
Develop competency with EMR and practice management system
Skills:
NexGen, EMR, Front Office
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility with hours and local area travel - this is an expense
Computer proficiency for an office nearly 100% electronic (Scanning, uploading, downloading, document transfer)
Ability to work in multiple software programs/applications
Exhibit patience and compassion
Ability to prioritize tasks properly
Experience Level:
