What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Coordinator position at Aston Carter?
Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Purchasing supervisor will handle purchases for the company and maintain inventory. Looking for a candidate that is comfortable with office and warehouse setting!
PURCHASING RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES include but not limited to:
• Ensure parts are ordered on time based on re-order reports from ERP Software.
• Utilize ERP Planning for procurement scheduling of parts.
• Purchase spare parts based on Reorder Report
• Procure quality vendors for purchasing items.
• Maintain good working vendor relationships to ensure we have the best vendors.
• Handle process for rejected parts by QC inspection department.
• Maintain accuracy of all Purchase Orders.
• Entry of new purchase parts into the ERP system.
• Create and Maintain proper BOMs.
• Work to continually improve the purchasing process.
• Maintain Vendor files as well as Vendor information in ERP Software.
INVENTORY CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES include but not limited to:
• Ability to Lead, Mentor and Train 2 direct reports.
• Direct cycle counts of inventory parts to ensure accurate inventory numbers.
• Maintain accuracy of inventory part numbers across multiple locations in the warehouse.
• Ensure inventory areas organized and easily accessible.
• Work to continually improve the inventory control process.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES include but not limited to:
• Maintain an organized workstation.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Follow company policies and procedures as laid out by direct supervisor / Hollymatic.
• Other duties as assigned.
