What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Aston Carter?
• Demonstrate proficiency in OSHA 1910 safety standards and be an active and visible presence for developing safety procedures, leading and organizing safety training, and ensuring compliance.
• Be able to read and interpret environmental regulations and implement compliance programs.
• Ensure compliance to safety and environmental requirements by maintaining a compliance calendar, completing all relevant paperwork and filings, and ensuring compliance submission deadlines are met. This includes proper and timely reporting of the OSHA recordable injury log and postings.
• Leads accident, OSHA-recordable, and environmental incident investigations to ensure appropriate regulatory and upward communication requirements are met and that investigations are led in a culture of autonomy, unbiased fact finding, and that lessons learned are communicated, trained to and continuous safety and environmental improvement is achieved.
• Develops and maintains OSHA-1910 compliant safety procedures and develops and maintains a Cardinal Safety Rules culture.
• Ensures monthly safety training is complete and training records are current, correct and compliant to company, OSHA, and/or regulatory requirements.
• Communicates within 24 hours any OSHA recordable injury or accident which requires outside medical assistance (ex: visit to an Urgent Care, emergency room, Dr. or other health provider by an employee or onsite ambulance service).
• Inspect, monitor and evaluate entire facility for compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Compose reports and correspondence and public health advisories.
• Collect and interpret data from different areas throughout the facility.
• Operation of various office and field equipment used to facilitate the analysis of field testing and the composition of statistical, narrative and graphical reports, e.g., computers with various software packages, and field equipment.
• Must follow a set work schedule with minimal absences and tardies and work overtime as business dictates.

• Timely and accurate reporting of government required filings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Familiarity with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance. (preferred)
• Read, write, and speak in English.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written procedures in English.
• Ability to read forging drawings and Blueprints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Epicor, E-10 (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, relentlessly execute and deliver results in conformance with action plans.
• Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) (preferred)
