What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant (HYBRID) position at Aston Carter?
Responsibilities:
- The key responsibility for this position is to take on various projects supporting the accounting for a new warehouse location.
- Assist and setting up processes and procedures.
- Preparing and updating the business purchase agreement for various vendors relating to inventory purchase.
- Maintaining the item level cost for stores in Oracle.
- Reviewing the Purchase Order exception report on a weekly basis and work with various business stakeholders to clear any open issues.
- Working with various business stakeholders and research any aged invoices, open invoices, and invoices on hold.
- Reviewing ad-hoc inventory adjustments in the cost management system.
- Review in transit shrink on a weekly basis and work with Inventory manager to identify the root causes.
- Work with the operations on creating and analyzing KPI on monthly basis.
- Preparing monthly reports for inventory adjustments, shrink etc.
- Preparing monthly account reconciliations for inventory accounting.
- Perform other ad hoc projects as requested by management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college.
- 5 years of full cycle accounting experience needed
- An understanding of accounting procedure, accounting concepts and internal control processes in general accounting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel and word) required.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills are needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-starter and work with minimum supervision.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
