Senior Accountant
Contract to Hire
Description:
Continuously look for improvements to current processes to further streamline/automate process.
• Support monthly, quarterly and yearly closing cycles.
• Analyze, reconcile and approve applicable GL accounts and bank statements to ensure financial information is accurate and reliable.
• Support internal and external audit engagements by assisting with annual external audits by preparing schedules, documenting and explaining procedures and providing requested information as needed.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
-Maintains an advanced level of knowledge and responsibility for various accounting areas related to accounting, system balancing, period-end closings, general ledger maintenance and training, budgeting, account reconciliations, cost accounting, disbursement entry, and miscellaneous reporting and analysis.
-They will be a partner in reviewing current internal controls, strategizing for the future control environment, and reporting activities designed to mitigate risk.

20% Assist with growth projects (process improvements, labor costing, Overhead costing)
15% Budgeting process & BTA Review
15% AP Functions (entry and/or review)
15% AR Function (entry and/or review)
10% CC transactions entry
5% YE Reconciliations
5% Recording payroll
