This role is to help in the interim while they look for a fulltime hire.
Under limited supervision, the Sr. Manager Finance – Operations performs duties as a strategic business partner for the Manufacturing and Quality department leaders. Assists senior leaders in the management of their monthly expenses and ensures they execute within their annual budget targets. This will include ongoing financial analysis and monthly financial reporting, support of product costing and improving costing accuracy, participating in the annual budget process and supporting product development and business development activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide finance partnership to Manufacturing and Quality departments.
- Deliver all FP&A support, including forward-looking financial projections (forecasts and budgets) and long-range plans in partnership with business leaders continuously challenging and driving performance improvement.
- Communicate financial performance and KPIs to a diverse and often senior audience in weekly business-critical meetings.
- Manage monthly S&OP forecast process by coordinating inputs from commercial, production and supply chain leaders. Analyze and communicate demand, production and shipment forecasts relative to budget and other targets. Compile and communicate daily shipments to a wide and diverse audience.
- Support ongoing lean transformation efforts and cost savings initiatives
- Participate in the annual budgeting cycle, leveraging monthly cost forecasts to inform budget targets, identify one-time expenses, and communicate cost savings opportunities.
- Perform monthly inventory forecast and prepare monthly bridge analysis to understand changes in inventory values and working capital performance.
- Perform ongoing costing analysis, partnering with Manufacturing to ensure the accuracy of our BOMs, Routings and standard product costing.
- Identify opportunities for automation and productivity gains.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Advanced degree and/or professional certification (CPA, CMA) strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes strongly preferred.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement discipline strongly preferred.
- Experience as a commercial business partner preferred.
- Seven or more years of experience in a financial planning and analysis organization- career progression
Soft Skills:
Get hands dirty- pull the data, analyze the data, present the data. Both strategy and doer. Tell story of the data to non-finance partners
Has to have both technical skills AND the business partnership skills.
