Description:
ESI Motion is looking for a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills and be directly accountable for ensuring overall supplier performance. This person will engage in a high degree of collaboration and communication with engineering, program managers, finance, manufacturing and quality assurance. Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and manage all purchasing activities which support established business unit objectives • Supports manufacturing and other departments to maintain efficient operations, high delivery standards and to promote customer goodwill • Guides and directs the Buyers in establishing and executing on time PO placement, expedite messages, supplier on time delivery, and supplier quality • Maintains required quality levels and product traceability • Reduces inbound/outbound logistics and shipping supplies cost • Drives best practices for material scheduling, planning, and purchasing through strong knowledge and utilization of MRP system functions • Reviews, evaluates, and selects suppliers for contracts and purchase orders based on evaluation of supplier facilities, operation capabilities, pricing policies, delivery performance, quotations, schedules, and buyer recommendations • Implements supplier development system and monitors active suppliers for effective performance • Drives continuous supplier performance improvement • Collaborates with other areas to meet the material requirements of the product lines • Identify and lead material cost reduction initiatives to drive material cost savings • Partner with Engineering/Quality/Operations on strategic projects to support new and ongoing business operations • Maintains a safe, organized, productive, and efficient work environment • Develop and implement improved information and reporting systems for materials management

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Education: • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain management, logistics or related field. • Certifications in production, supply chain or related areas a plus. Qualifications: • 7 years’ experience in materials (purchasing, subcontracts/LTA, planning, inventory control, etc.) or equivalent required • FAR/DFAR and DPAS rating experience required • 2 years of supervisory/management experience or equivalent required • Purchasing experience in an electronics and mechanical assembly environment • Ability to lead a team to accomplish goals in a dynamic working environment • A results-focused, hands-on, "get it done" attitude. Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills and demonstrated experience in working with teams in a cross-functional environment. • High computer literacy level with expected proficiency in MS Office Suite Products, PDF and internet. • Experience working with material related transactions in an MRP/ERP system • Requires excellent oral and written communications skills • A self-motivated team player who can act with minimal direction • Must be U.S. person
