Our company is seeking a seeking a energetic and motivated Dietary Aide to join our growing team of professionals!
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals to patients, residents, and guests within a healthcare or nursing facility. This position will collaborate with the dietary staff in planning, cooking, and serving meals, ensure appropriate food handling, storage, and retrieval procedures are followed, and maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
Dietary Aide Responsibilities:
- Assist in the serving of meals and beverages to residents, patients, and guests
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper sanitation and safety guidelines
- Assist in the delivery and retrieval of food carts, plates, and utensils
- Monitor and report food inventory levels and supplies to the Head Cook or Director
- Attend and participate in regular training and education on dietary requirements and changes
Dietary Aide Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and retrieval procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
