Astound Broadband Powered by Wave is currently searching for a Construction Coordinator in our Port Angeles, WA market to assist in coordinating construction efforts through in-house and contract labor for new construction and rebuild projects. This position is responsible for the safety and quality of work performed within the construction department.
Where you will work:
- This position will be based in Astounds Port Angeles, WA office
- Opportunity offers the flexibility to work from your home office or a nearby Astound office, or a combination of both
A Day in the Life of the Construction Coordinator:
- Coordinate construction efforts through in-house and contract labor for new residential and commercial construction and rebuild/upgrade projects
- Generate desk top quotes and final quotes in the field for video, voice and data projects with quick turn-around times to sales executives and managers
- Coordinate with engineers and developers in designing the plant; Draw and sketch installation and location of equipment such as amplifiers, power supplies and cables; Complete material orders needed for planned construction
- Maintain inventory for maintenance and construction materials
- Monitor contractor performance; Perform quality checks on completed work; Ensure adherence to terms and conditions of agreements;
- Work with permitting authorities and utilities to coordinate permitting and make-ready process
- Communicate with Project Manager or designated supervisor regarding construction projects
- Review and process damage claims
- Field and assist with buried service drop requests for residential and commercial customers
- Communicate with business owners, developers and residential customers
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor and manager
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5 Years Cable Television or Telecommunications Technical Experience
- Successful completion of the NCTI Service Technician course and/or SCTE BCT/E Certification
- Knowledge of National Electrical Codes
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to work in a team environment and work collaboratively with multiple departments
- Ability to assess and analyze materials needed to complete work and to properly budget projects
- Ability to work closely with customers and conduct business in a professional manner
- Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
- Knowledge of cable television products and services
- Ability to manipulate connectors, fasteners, wire and hand tools, including but not limited to, shovels, picks, wrenches, and other general or specialized small hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to walk over all types of terrain in all kinds of weather while carrying tools and equipment, including gaffs, ladders, and fully loaded tool belts
- Ability to work while standing 25-50% of the time
- Must have the ability to communicate by telephone, correspondence, and in person.
- Must possess a good command of the English language, including excellent enunciation, grammar and lack of slang.
- Must have basic computer, typing and mathematics techniques.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
- Must have ability to frequently use repetitive motions of the wrist, hands and/or fingers.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 Years Cable Television or Telecommunications Technical Experience
- Successful completion of the NCTI Service Technician course and/or SCTE BCT/E Certification

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. The base salary range in Washington for this position, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable, is:
- Construction Coordinator I - $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
- Construction Coordinator II - $21.00 - $29.40 per hour
- Construction Coordinator III - $22.05 - $30.87 per hour
