What You Will Be Doing
The Data Architect is responsible for network operations of Virtual Private Network (VPN) circuits, wide area network (WAN), campus area network (CAN), and local area network (LAN) equipment and interconnections for approximately 700 sites. Management of network monitoring, network configuration, implementation/installation projects and voice services.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems.
- Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analyses.
- Works in a data warehouse environment that includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation.
- Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
- Defines, designs, and builds dimensional databases.
- Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused, or duplicate data.
- Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks
Requirements:
- Possess a SECRET clearance
- Must have at least 5 years of data architecture experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and defend design rationales.
