Purpose.
This position is responsible for performing medical assessments and all diagnostic (hearing, balance, central auditory processing, electrophysiologic testing, CI candidacy evaluation, Otoacoustic Emissions testing) and hearing aid services with proper medical clearance from the referring physician, and in accordance with approved policies, procedures and protocols.
Principal Job Duties.
- Demonstrates support of change in the continual evaluation and implementation of ways to improve the organization’s performance and achievement of long-term goals and objectives.
- Responsible for providing audiology services to patients, including evaluations, counseling patients and selecting and fitting hearing aids.
- Assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent disorders related to hearing and balance.
- Perform needed adjustments to fitted products; comply with all procedural company quality standards and guidelines to maximize product performance and overcome patient concerns/objections.
- Report regularly on activity status and related results, patient performance, existing patient retention and new patient development initiatives in a format provided by the company
- Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
- Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
Supervisory Status.
This position does not supervise others.
Safety Sensitive Status.

Required Qualifications and Education.
- Master’s Degree in Audiology or Au.D.
- Current Washington State Audiology licensure.
- One or more years of direct clinical experience.
- Oral and written fluency in the English language.
This position will be required to work primarily in an indoor business environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation required:
- Constantly standing, walking, and positioning self in the work environment,
- Frequently operates a computer and other clinical equipment,
- Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
- Occasionally bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements,
- The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, patients and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions,
- Must be able to detect objects at a distance,
- On occasion will lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 20 – 50 pounds
