Our client, a leading global consumer-centric medical device company, is looking for an Instructional Designer. This is your chance to work with a global company with nearly 13,000 employees located in 30 countries
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, REMOTE (EST or CST)
- Pay: $38-42/hr.
- Terms: 1 year development opportunity with the potential for extension or conversion
As an Instructional Designer, you will be working to produce training and onboarding programs for CRM users and learning/training courses through LMS, CRM is D365 and Salesforce. If you have experience with Articulate Storyline, Reach 360, Viva, and experience with E-Learning, this is a great opportunity to expand your career with a top organization in the medical device manufacturing industry. You will apply adult learning principles to creatively design and develop engaging and effective instructor-led courses (both in-person and virtual), self-guided eLearning courses, micro-learnings, just-in-time resources, quick reference guides, video demos, and training evaluations.
Key Duties:
- Utilize design thinking and instructional design theory to get to the heart of the learner and our business needs.
- Apply adult learning principles to create learning content for both new and existing curricula and user resources that is easy to access, understand, and apply.
- Support the Global Change Manager in ongoing needs analysis to understand learner roles, responsibilities, tasks, processes, and our digital capabilities.
- Design and develop effective training solutions that address current gaps.
- Using our LMS (Learning Management System), you’ll manage learning assignments, monitor progress, upload & maintain courses, and report on learner feedback.
- Maintain learning resources in Articulate 360, SharePoint, and VisualSP.
- Participate in the evaluation of learning program effectiveness by monitoring assessments, surveys, and participant feedback. Support the Global Change Manager in analyzing the results to identify strengths and areas of improvement.
- Establish collaborative relationships within the Commercial Technology team and cross-functionally.
- Develop training content and related communication that conveys information with clarity, consistency, and conciseness.
- Facilitate virtual one-on-one and virtual classroom-style instruction as needed.
Education/Experience:
- Certificate or Degree in Instructional Design, Learning, Education, or related program
- A passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design theory
- Hands-on experience with course authoring and developing learning materials, including strong Articulate Rise proficiency
- Strong Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience with an LMS (Learning Management System)
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience delivering content and facilitating a virtual classroom
- Ability to manage deliverables and tasks with effective time management
- Works independently but also collaborates well
- Resourceful life-long learner
