Contract to hire
- Material handlers are responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks, containers, and storage racks.
- They maintain accurate records of inventory levels, tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, and updating inventory systems accordingly. This may involve using computerized systems or manual record-keeping methods.
- Material handlers fulfill orders by selecting the correct items from inventory, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment.
- Move materials within the warehouse or production area as needed, ensuring that items are stored in the appropriate locations and are easily accessible for retrieval.
- Material handlers inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety procedures for equipment operation, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Work closely with other warehouse staff, including supervisors, inventory clerks, and shipping/receiving personnel, to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lb
- 1 year of material handling experience
