POSITION OPPORTUNITY
The position will serve as a focal point of all shop operations within the respective facility. It requires coordination of work with Operation Manager, Sub-Contractors, Vendors and Customers to ensure timely delivery of cleaned parts.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Insure that all shop job documentation is correct and completed for customers in a timely manner.
- Order materials and supplies (chemicals, etc.) as needed for shop and clean room jobs
- Ship and Receive parts into the shop and clean room.
- Maintain shop/ clean room equipment and meters, gauges etc.
- Remove waste for discharge and off-site requirements
- Manage the safety and maintenance of the shop work environment
- Conduct safety, PPE, Audits, Boiler & Compressor, Fire Marshall and Fire Bottle inspections monthly
- Clean, repair and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Maintain all records of repair and maintenance conducted in facility
- Assign work to shop personnel / clean room as necessary
- Perform shop jobs / clean room jobs
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Other Duties / Responsibilities
- Maintains work area clean to CEO (Clean, Efficient, Organized)/5S Standards
- OSHA Certification
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Competence to comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
- Ability to don proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for different chemical mixing processes
- Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager and/or Facility Manager
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- OSHA Certification Required
- Technical Training or AA Degree preferred
- HAZWOPER, Confined Space Certifications are preferred
Related Experience: Candidate must have Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with operation of various machines, tools, managing shop schedules, workflow, safety and personnel resources and equipment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, documents, correspondence and memos.
- Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to wear a respirator as needed
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Should be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Moderate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Will be exposed to dust, fume, smoke, toxic chemicals and disagreeable odors
- Noisy conditions periodically
- Wet or humid conditions (indoors)
- Working on ladders, rooftops, bucket trucks, scaffolding, etc.
- Exposed to vibration (i.e. operating jackhammer, impact wrench)
- Periodically improperly illuminated or awkward and confining work space
