A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITY MANAGER
This position is responsible for execution, coordination, operation, maintenance, capital improvements, cleanroom, and janitorial services for all facilities on the ASOV site. Must ensure that customer support/satisfaction meet safety, reliability, security, timeliness, and cost-effective measures. Will implement the site preventative maintenance program and ensure that remedial maintenance is performed in a timely manner without impacting the customer's processing schedule. Will maintain as-built drawings. This position will provide improvements to facility systems when required. Is responsible for departmental budget, forecasting, and Capex projects. Will manage the facility team, including supervision, guidance, and oversight, working with the Facilities/Operations Technician Team Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FACILITY MANAGER
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. A minimum of 10 years of related experience required, preferably in aerospace with launch operations or hardware processing. Requires complete customer responsiveness and broad-based managerial ability and highly developed interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the preparation for flight of space hardware and critical ground support equipment. Must be competent in operating forklifts, high reach equipment, and flight hardware transportation vehicles. Requires knowledge of and experience with Space Force rules and regulations for operating facilities and equipment on Vandenberg Space Force Base. Requires knowledge of and experience with Space Force organizations; prior Space Force service desirable.
This position requires the individual to have general knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, communications, HVAC systems, and computer knowledge. Ability to generate design concepts for new projects. Construction of small projects also require the individual to possess the ability to have a working knowledge of building and construction techniques. The position also requires the individual to possess the ability to read and understand blueprints and as-built drawings. The individual must be able to use common hand tools as well as electrical and communication meters and equipment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other Windows-based software programs. Direct experience negotiating contracts with vendors for maintenance and construction support required. Must be detail oriented, customer friendly, able to handle a fast-paced environment.
Must be a United States citizen. Must be able to obtain a security clearance, up to TS/SCI level, to retain employment.
