As the HR Generalist on the Asure Consulting team this role will work with multiple clients, giving you the opportunity to handle a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits, job descriptions, leaves, performance management, etc. Our team members enjoy learning about a variety of industries, adapt easily to various client needs, present their knowledge of HR confidently, demonstrate excellent customer service, and have a strong ability and desire to provide practical HR support and advice.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves clients by responding to human resources issues, problems, and questions mainly via phone and e-mail. Provides advice on requirements and application of HR best practices and client policies.
- Develops, implements, administers, and revises policies, procedures and systems related to the HR function, including HR administration, group benefits, wage and salary administration, employee relations, and compliance.
- Manages and drives full service clients’ projects from inception to completion.
- Administers clients’ FMLA, EEO, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and other functions.
- Assists with establishing and driving full service clients’ human resources priorities.
- Visits clients in person for needs such as assessments, reports, projects, and relationship building.
- Effectively and completely records and tracks documents, client activities, contacts, and deadlines such that other employees can locate and comprehend client incidents and issues.
- Performs duties that require specific hours of work in the office and availability to answer the phone, counsel clients, and interact with clients and co-workers.
- Works with other team members to efficiently administer workflow and phone coverage.
- Develops and maintains subject matter expertise in functional human resource topics.
- Communicates and works effectively with client team to improve team knowledge of the client.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What I will bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, and two or more years of human resources experience, including employee relations experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification required, or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
- Computer literacy, accurate typing speed of 40 w.p.m., and excellent Word, e-mail, and research skills.
- Moderate level of knowledge regarding local, state, and federal employment law and accepted human resources practices.
- Initiative, good judgment, and a high standard of professional business ethics. Professional manner required in appearance, speech, and presentation of self and developed materials.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions from clients and co-workers and easily adapt to ambiguous situations.
- Must be highly organized and work independently with a moderate level of supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to quickly establish rapport and close attention to detail.
