Our client company is a consulting firm based in Dayton, Ohio that provides Operational Improvement, Supply Chain and Project Management services They are in its 20th year of delivering lasting change to its vast network of medium to large size multi-national clients. This work is performed onsite by a team of engineers and business professionals called ImpleMentors whose primary goal is creating measurable and sustainable change within their client’s organization.
Position description
The Lead ImpleMentor position is full-time salary and requires weekly travel to client sites. This role becomes a member of the implementation team for the client and will work within a defined project scope to realize the agreed to objectives. As part of this work the Lead ImpleMentor will support the training of client resource to aid in their ability to expedite delivery and sustain results. They will also play a lead role in defining additional opportunities for improvement and helping to scope those projects for proposed implementation. The salary offered is based on experience and delivery performance but hired candidates should expect a six figure base with a solid benefit and vacation package. All travel and business related expenses are fully reimbursed.
Job duties will include:
- Identifying and / or understanding opportunities for improvement as determined by an operational assessment or client directive.
- Developing detailed project plans inclusive of the following business functions: production planning & scheduling, production control, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flows in order to effectively manage industrial and distribution process improvement.
- Developing and implementing metrics to insure fulfillment of client objectives and expectations, conferring with clients and staff members to insure efficient production methods and considering different alternatives, expected outcomes and implementation strategies, evaluating production times, costs and staffing issues in order to provide information for management decisions.
- Interacting with a diverse customer base and individuals within the organization from leadership and management to process owners and employees to implement the agreed to and required changes.
- Ability to show demonstrated progress and improvement as determined by an agreed to project scope and timeline.
- Ability to generate additional client opportunities based on successful project delivery and identification of add-on opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Operations.
- Experience working on corporate projects involving process improvement, improved inventory management, quality control, logistics and material flow, and labor optimization.
- Practical understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques, 6 sigma, total quality management, and production control is required.
- Strong presentation and computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated history of a Continuous Improvement mindset and implementing improvement projects.
- Percentage travel: 85% annually. Minimum 42 weeks. Higher utilization yields incentive bonus.
- Due to the nature of the travel it is important that the candidates be based near an airport that has regular direct and connected access to frequently traveled destinations throughout the US.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
