Job Description
1. Conducts administrative law hearings for TEA, SNAP, and Medicaid benefits in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations, and agency policies.
2. Rule on in-hearing motions, objections, and requests.
3. Determine credibility of witnesses and documentary evidence and finds facts in each hearing.
4. Analyze applicable statutory and case law.
5. Synthesize fact situation at hand with state and federal laws and regulations and Agency policies and issues a proposed written decision.
6. Review case files to prepare for hearings ensuring issues are correctly docketed, notices are correctly mailed, and to develop potential lines of questioning.
