Job Summary:
The Production Specialist in the Curing department is responsible for the processing/hanging/and curing of cannabis flower and supports the manufacturing of cannabis products within the cultivation and production facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned tasks as instructed by the Department Manager.
- Measure, weigh, and package cannabis flower to production specifications.
- Verify integrity of packaged raw ingredients to prevent contamination and maintain food safety standards.
- Weighing and logging material.
- Collect samples for QA as needed for quality testing.
- Trim dry and cure cannabis flower to ensure high quality and visually aesthetic product.
- Regularly clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
- Maintain an unobstructed workspace at all times and safe for you and your team members.
- Meet targeted production goals, and work in a quick and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a production facility (manufacturing, food, CPG, etc..)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedure.
- Ability to measure, weigh and mix in a precise and efficient manner.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to successfully register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
- Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Working Environment:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
