I am hiring, overseeing the tranquil Corpus Christi Bay. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and professional nursing care to our patients.
This is the region's premier acute care medical facility, offering a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services, including cardiac, cancer, and stroke care. We boast state-of-the-art facilities such as the Pavilion and the Critical Care Center, which house a top-notch Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and surgical suites. Additionally, as a teaching facility affiliated with the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine, we are committed to excellence in education and patient care.
Responsibilities:
-Provide expert nursing care to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
-Assist physicians during examinations and treatments, ensuring the smooth flow of procedures.
-Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs to ensure optimal recovery.
-Maintain accurate records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
-Participate as a primary nurse, associate nurse, team member, or team leader in the planning and implementation of patient care.
-Direct and assist in carrying out safe aseptic techniques and procedures.
-Offer leadership and direction to support staff within the department.
Must Have's:
-Associate's Degree in Nursing
-One year of nursing experience preferred
-Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License
-BLS certification (American Heart Association)
-ACLS certification is required at the time of hire for experienced RNs; new graduate nurses must obtain ACLS by the end of the clinical orientation period
-NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
-De-escalation training is required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
-TNCC certification required within 6 weeks of hire for experienced RNs; new graduate nurses must obtain TNCC within 18 months of hire/transfer date
-PALS certification is required at the time of hire for experienced RNs; new graduate nurses must obtain PALS by the end of the clinical orientation period
Salary: BASED ON EXPERIENCE $27.30 - $46.40
