Responsibilities
- Apply transportation engineering principles and techniques to enhance the efficiency, reliability, resilience, and safety of transportation systems.
- Document and analyze findings in technical memos, project reports, and research summaries.
- Develop plans using Excel, Synchro, VISSIM, HSM, ISATe, Cube, and additional traffic operations tools.
- Prepare traffic design plans using Microstation or AutoCAD.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- EIT certification preferred.
- 2-6 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Self-initiative to solve problems and stay updated on the latest traffic engineering innovations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities seamlessly.
- Technical proficiency in traffic engineering and transportation planning related to safety, planning, engineering, design, and operational needs of transportation systems.
- Proficiency with Microstation and AutoCAD graphic packages preferred.
- Experience with various traffic studies, development of microsimulation networks, and analysis of transportation data sets.
- Expertise in the design, analysis, and implementation of traffic signals and roadway lighting systems, including signal timing, coordination, and optimization.
