Purpose:
Guide development teams in learning Agile values, principles and frameworks. Facilitates Scrum Team ceremonies (Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and Sprint Planning). Responsible for holding Scrum Team members accountable to their commitments and ensuring transparency of the Scrum Teams activities, impediments, setbacks and successes. Responsible for building and maintaining Advanced Roadmap for Finance IT.Accountabilities:
Serves as a Scrum Master for two or more Finance IT scrum teams.
Collaborates with other teams, Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, etc. on cross functional dependencies
Helps educate and train employees at all levels on Agile values and principles
Guides teams through the implementation of Scrum and provides training as needed
Coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and suitable for the team and organization
Helps the Scrum Team understand and follow the Athene Delivery Approach
Facilitates Scrum ceremonies effectively, on cadence, while ensuring team participation
Guides the team in self-organization and cross-functionality
Helps improve the team’s delivery through a deliberate focus on continuous improvement and a learning culture
Supports and educates the Product Owner on maximizing the value of the product and team via effective product backlog management
Removes impediments and protect the team from outside interruptions
Measures, evaluates and communicates team metrics
Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information
Works with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of Scrum in the organization

Actual performance measured against team metrics
Effective coordination with other teams, Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, etc. on cross functional projects so that milestones are met
Contribution to the Scrum Master Community of Practice and Athene Delivery Approach
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and work experience.
Scrum Master Certifications CSM, PSM II or equivalent
4-6 years’ experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Agile practices
Expert in the Scrum framework and Agile techniques such as relative estimation, TDD, etc.
Demonstrated ability to coach development teams in organizational environments in which Agile is not yet fully adopted and understood
Demonstrated knowledge of large program/project management and experience in scaled Agile frameworks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Jira
Strong skills in leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, and increasing transparency
