Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for supporting the Creative Team in executing a variety of print and digital deliverables for the Athletico brand including, but not limited to, web, email, social media, sales collateral, events, and internal communication. Qualified candidates will have a developing understanding of graphic design, layout principles, and general typography and typesetting skills to provide creative solutions to cross-functional stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:.
- Designs print and digital media graphics for distribution through various platforms including advertisements, emails, social media, print collateral, signage, web banner ads, and promotional items.
- Serves as a consultant to Marketing Team regarding most effective design techniques to produce desired visual effect.
- Creates designs to satisfy an incredibly diverse array of project objectives.
- Develops new design ideas and concepts that leverage the Athletico brand and expands the quality of brand exposure and equity within all marketing executions.
- Studies briefs, determines requirements, prepares drafts and presents ideas to the team.
- Ensures timely and effective execution of assigned projects.
- Ensures final materials are accurate and error free, including file construction, organization, and prepping of files for printing.
- Researches and keeps current with new trends in digital and print design practices.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related discipline required
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the graphic design profession with demonstrated success
- Experience in creating visual design for print and digital
- Must have an online portfolio to be considered
- Certification/Licensure:
- None required
- Knowledge and Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a variety of people and personalities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in projects and ideas.
- Excellent attention to detail and information organization.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
