What are the responsibilities and job description for the General hand position at ATI?
From the edges of space to the bottoms of ocean, our materials are proven to perform and so is our team. We are currently looking for a Melter in the Remelt Department at our Monroe, NC facility.
As a Melter, you will play a critical role in the remelt process such as operating the furnaces, air arc gouging, welding, saws, grinders, shot blaster, forklift and cranes.
You would be responsible for setting up and operating machines safely within the standard operating procedures, detecting faulty equipment and defective material.
Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.Basic Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications : At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience Skills : Basic computer skillsBasic math skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
