ATI is currently looking for a Senior Leader, Operations at our Cudahy, WI location.
Responsibilities of this Senior Leader position include managing and coordinating the various operational functions, comprising of 5 areas: Welding (Fabrication, Die and Hammer component repair), Inspection, Gage making, Machining, and Assembly of tooling to support Forging Operations.
Essential Functions:
- Plan for, direct, and coordinate the efficient utilization and conservation of all available resources (manpower, equipment, tooling, raw materials, energy, budget, facilities) so that desired products are produced in a cost-efficient and timely manner.
- Establish, communicate, and implement Manufacturing operating objectives and policies through delegation of authority to the respective salaried operational leaders and hourly leads. Instill teamwork and participation involvement among subordinate staff towards common achievement of desired results.
- Ensure the highest level of safe working environment for all employees through active management involvement and support for the ATI safety programs, continuing high employee awareness, preventative maintenance programs and efficient general housekeeping. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, DNR and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and assess performance versus goals relating to production output, budgetary control, manpower and facilities utilization, quality of services provided, etc., and provide ongoing feedback and counsel to subordinate staff on same.
- Provide technical and manufacturing knowledge and experience to devise creative solutions and methodology to production of forging design, avoid or eliminate production bottlenecks, and implement innovative, cost effective, and more efficient manufacturing methods. Consult with and encourage communications among Manufacturing and support staffs to accomplish same.
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, development, evaluation, motivation, and reward of assigned manpower in a manner consistent with ATI policies.
- Establish policies and practices and ensure management conduct to promote optimum labor-management relationships that contribute to maximum productivity and cost-efficient actions. Ensure compliance with applicable labor contract
- Advocate and lead by example towards a work atmosphere, which encourages participative involvement, effective communications, and demonstrated support for teamwork and cooperation. Conduct salary performance reviews.
- Act as liaison between Management and the work force at all levels to communicate appropriate information in all necessary directions.
- Plan, monitor, and anticipate major, long lead time, equipment replacement parts, materials, and supplies and preventative maintenance functions to avoid unplanned production interruptions.
- Incorporate new manufacturing and forgings concepts, systems, methods, equipment, technology, etc.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
