We are currently seeking an Ultrasonic Testing Technician at our Huntsville, AL location. This is a 2nd shift position with working hours from 2 : 30 pm 11 : 00 pm.
Primary Responsibilities :
As an Ultrasonic Technician, you will work with testing and inspection equipment to provide examination and testing metallic parts for jet engine components.
A successful Ultrasonic Testing Technician has strong attention to detail and embraces the opportunity to be empowered to make important decisions regarding the integrity of our components.
Essential Duties :
- Conducting daily ultrasonic setups, examination, and testing of components to determine acceptability of product.
- Examining product for possible defects and documenting results accordingly.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and procedures in order to accomplish ultrasonic setups, tests and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Basic Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Dedication to safe work practices
- Capable of distinguishing and differentiating colors
- Vision of 20 / 25 in at least one eye, natural or corrected
