Who we are looking for:
Atkore is seeking Engineers to be a part of our Atkore Leadership Development Program (ALDP) Internship, who can work in a team-based environment, have strong leadership capabilities, and overall business acumen to include financial understanding and contribute significant results to strategic objectives. The length of this internship will be 8-10 weeks during the Summer of 2023. This internship will be based out of one of our US locations.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and help maintain standard work for all processes and positions, along with working with other teams to share best practices with respect to following & modifying standard work.
- Design/Improve/Contribute to (new) product development.
- Ensure Lean principals (5S, Standard Work, TPM, etc.) are implemented in any new or redesigned piece of equipment.
- Eliminate chronic problems by using various problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure an effective manufacturing process control program that maintains focus on prevention of internal rejects, writes protocols and performs validations of new/improved materials and processes.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects.
- Performs Other Duties as Assigned.
What you’ll bring:
- Graduating Spring of 2024 with an Engineering degree.
- Experience in outside organizations with an emphasis in leadership abilities.
- SolidWorks or related 3D design software preferable.
