We are hiring! We are looking for a Senior Document Controller to join us, this position is based out of our office in Rochester, NV.
How will you contribute to the team?
Work within existing SNC-Lavalin processes and procedures to maintain and enhance electronic and paper Document Control infrastructure.
Organize and maintain electronic Document Control System (DCS) and file sharing system based on SNC-Lavalin’s software.
Make modifications as required to tailor the overall Document Control Process to a particular project.
Ensure process is consistent through the entire project team of designers and contractors.
Interface with any Client’s external site as required.
Receiving and date stamping incoming documents, logging into to software system, distribution, filing; collecting reviewed document, logging into electronic DCS, filing and distribution; managing the complete and precise archiving of technical documentation at the end of a project.
Support coordination with external reproduction services / copy companies.
Participate in all audits as required, being cognizant of appropriate plans, policies and procedures and respond effectively to corrective actions.
Maintain a professional relationship with all persons from whom documents are received and to whom they are distributed, as appropriate, to effectively communicate information.
As various projects evolve, further duties may be added to this role.
What will you contribute?
A certificate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
Minimum of 5 years previous document control experience
Excellent computer and software skills including the MS Office Suite and Tools.
Knowledge of document management systems
Proficiency in document capturing systems
Top-class typing and report writing skills
Time-oriented approach to handling queries and tasks
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at various levels within the organization.
Attention to detail is essential;
Natural ability to organize large amounts of documentation.
