Who We Are Looking For:
Atkore’s Shared Services team is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager. Reporting to the Sr. AP Manager, this individual is responsible for leading and managing day-to-day activities for the central US division of Atkore's Accounts Payable department.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable department
- Oversee compliance in making payments to vendors per payment terms
- Perform monthly closing activities
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and audit requests
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Embrace culture of continuous process improvement by driving process improvements and developing KPI's for the department
What You Bring:
- Bachelor Degree in finance or accounting required
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in management demonstrating the ability to drive a team for results
- Minimum of 2 years of procurement/accounting experience in a multi-facility environment preferred; Basware, JDE or another ERP experience a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; good organizational skills , ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook strongly preferred
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Complete your Atkore immersion program
- Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy
- Review and meet with key department personnel and supervisors on functional status
- Complete month-end reports
- Begin learning process of applicable JDE ERP system modules and Basware software
Within 6 months, you’ll:
- Understand key vendors and any uniqueness of applicable invoice processing
- Hold monthly performance meetings with department
- Understand banking files and transactions, as well as vendor banking payment setup
- Continue learning process of applicable JDE ERP system modules and Basware software
Within 12 months, you’ll:
- Be proficient in applicable JDE ERP system modules and Basware software
- Participate and assist with special projects and JDE assimilation's with new company adds
- Develop goals and KPI metrics for the department
