Summary:
The Value Stream Lead operates in an industry-related program management and project engineering environment, as a team member with assigned Project Engineers and Quality Engineers. The team co-manages multiple customers in similar business sectors. This position requires constant, effective communications internally and externally, planning and organization specific to assigned sector customers, customer management and broad, applied business acumen. This position reports to the Director of Program Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program/Project Support
- Work in equal partnership/ownership with Project Engineers and Quality Engineers
- Plan/manage team goals and project schedules
- Maintains project status and coordinates all team members to keep internal workflow on track
- Participates in feasibility studies and data collection
- The team manages data folders, document control workflow, BOMs, ECOs
- The team maintains and produces internal and external metrics (OTD, Revenue, Quality, etc.)
- Enable open, professional, productive communications with customers. Defines project scope, requirements, and objectives
- Lead and support quoting through sourcing/pricing raw materials, components, and packaging
- Read and understand basic information on part drawings/blueprints
- Responsible for re-quoting existing parts for price increases
- Monitors project expenses and initiates project-related billings
Customer Support
- Manages customer/team meetings to review project status and open issues
- Leads resolution actions in a pro-active style
- Perform accurate/timely entry of customer orders and revisions in the ERP system
- Works with production planning to schedule and plan production dates
- Monitors customer orders for alignment to quote and statement of work (SOW)
- The team is responsible for customer Return Material Authorization (RMA) & Corrective Actions (CA) and co-ordinates resolution
- The team is responsible to manage customer surveys and resulting actions
Supply Chain Support
- Sources and purchases raw materials, components, and packaging for in their value stream
- Ensures purchased materials meet customer requirements and specifications
- Reviews production forecasts to ensure adequate materials for current and upcoming production runs and are purchased delivered on time
- Assist in determining supplier status for suppliers on Approved Supplier List
- Participate in creating and maintaining supplier scorecards
Project to Manufacturing Transition
- Setup new project standard work and associated time studies in IQMS
- Ensure SOW key deliverables are achieved through Manufacturing procedures production applications
- Sponsor/lead Lean activities for value stream
Other
- Support company policies and procedures
- Other projects outside of assigned value stream as assigned

Qualifications:
- Ability to create spreadsheets in Excel: formulas, formatting, data entry
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- General knowledge of drawings/blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to investigate, research, and problem solve
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact within all levels of the organization
Education and/or Experience:
- Engineering Degree with experience in manufacturing, customer interface and business management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical training/experience required
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (minimum 1 year)
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform application of percentages, averages, and ratios
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to understand how inventory affects other areas of the organization
- Ability to find answers for employees or vendors with a clear and calm demeanor
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to prioritize workload appropriately and manage time to accomplish job requirements
