Air Portable Energy (APE) is a division within Atlas Copco's Power Technique business area. It develops, manufactures and markets handheld tools, air compressors, specialty air (boosters and PTO), as well as accessories and Pre-Owned equipment. It is active worldwide. Products are offered under several brands to a wide range of industries including construction, mining, oil & gas, and rental.
In this role you will be responsible to support Atlas Copco Power Technique Product Marketing Manager(s) and VP/BLM - APE in developing the business for Handheld Tools, Air Compressors and Specialty Air for the North America territory, including the United States and Canada for the APE Division.The energy transition towards sustainable solutions that reduces operational cost and greenhouse gas emissions offers a strong potential for short- and near-term growth in this region for our division, specifically through our electric and battery offerings.
We see potential for synergy in sales to our existing customers, rental accounts as well as dealers by offering a more complete product offering to them. In the dedicated channels, there will be compressor specialists with our customers, which is in addition to our APE dedicated Regional Sales Managers. Therefore, you will work in the areas of product support, marketing operations, and marketing logistics to support sales to these customers.
You will report to the Product Marketing Manager(s) - APE in our US Customer Center, covering the United Stated and Canadian markets. You will collaborate with customer center support staff in logistics, training, material handling, marketing and communications, etc.
NOTE: This is a 6-month contract position.
Roles and Responsibilites Include:
Product and Customer Support
Assist the product managers in managing the portable air compressor (electric and diesel) product portfolio.
Provide support to the sales team in the field and dealer partners.
Become a subject matter expert in all things related to portable air applications.
Work with the product managers to schedule and conduct training for sales team members on the products and applications.
Provide marketing support to sales team members to maximize both market and customer share with focus on key account development and dealer management.
Follow up and execute actions with 3rd party suppliers
Follow actions with the PC, and with Gecia
Assist both the product managers and marketing manager in planning and executing campaigns and contests.
Utilize the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to maintain contacts, notes, and activities.
Provide reporting and communication to the sales team on lead time and orders on hand (OOH) Perform other duties as assigned.
Conduct market research to ensure Atlas Copco remains premium in the market place
Excellence in Marketing Operations
Assist in the maintenance of PCT files
Maintain Showpad assets (PRS, AIB, .ppt, etc.)
Assist in implementing price and part number changes
Keep the Showpad checklist and toolbox updated

To succeed, you will need
Experience:
This is considered an entry-level position
Relevant internship or work experience is a plus.
Education:
The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in engineering, marketing, or related field.
Skills:
Excellent business analysis, planning and organizing skills.
Knowledge of the APE (Compressors and Tools) product range is a plus.
Hands on attitude
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Computer literate (SAP, C4C, Microsoft Office, etc.) and strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint would be an asset.
Positive attitude and willing to troubleshoot and problem solve any technical or commercial related product issues
Able to work unsupervised, independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivated and able to work under time constraints.
Note:Minimal travel within Canada and the United States is expected (up to 20% of the time).
