A leading non-profit organization based in New York is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support the facilitation of its regulatory compliance activities. The position will be a full-time hybrid schedule, partially remote and partially on-site in Manhattan. This organization is growing tremendously into a leading nonprofit within the foster care setting. Responsibilities include occasional audits, investigations, and risk assessments. The Compliance Specialist must be aware of changes to relevant laws and regulations and ensure that the organization’s practices are within guidelines.
- Conduct regular chart reviews of Medicaid billing programs to monitor compliance with regulations
- Contributes quality and timely data for internal compliance and audit meetings
- Contribute to the annual risk assessment and work plan, ensuring the gathering and provision of regulatory compliance related information
- Conduct root cause analysis and submit corrective action plans, with guidance on methodology and identification of relevant regulatory requirements to programs
- Integrate regulatory guidance into compliance activities to ensure deadlines are properly met
- Assist with the management of client records request by performing supportive tasks
- Plays a critical role in driving the progress of corrective actions throughout the organization.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Services, Public Health, or a related field
- 3 years of compliance experience, preferably in a non-profit setting, and a bonus of child welfare experience
- Must possess excellent writing, planning, and analytical skills
- Must be knowledgeable about compliance laws and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
