As an experienced Product Developer with our growing Manufacturing Team, some of the job duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and design models
- Translating the product design into computer modeling software
- Choosing and inputting the correct cutting tools for the job
- Adjusting machine settings to meet required product specifications
- Troubleshooting issues during the instructional design process
- Working with router specialists, engineers, fabricators, and management
- Ability to adapt, prioritize, and keep up with technology
- Revise programs and documentation-based engineering changes
- Maintain a library of programs
- Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements to maximize efficiencies
- Develop Routers for projects
- Develop and design work holding and select cutting tools
Our ideal candidate for the experienced Product Developer would have the following qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ experience with CAD software
- Preferred experience with Enroute, Corel or Flexi
- Sign experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and abilities.
- Professional interaction with co-workers, clients, and vendors
- Ability to think and act analytically and independently and ability to solve practical job-related problems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Use good judgment
- Computer literate; use or learn different software; use of Outlook, zip files, etc.
- manufacturing process knowledge to meet the requirements of the job
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some trade school coursework
- 2-5 years or more experience as a machinist, CNC operator, programmer
Physical requirements for the Product Developer position include:
Must be able to lift and/or move up 25 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work is performed primarily indoors. There are extreme changes to temperature and humidity within the plant and office area. Must be able to sit for hours at a time.
