Position summary
This Carpentry Shop Hand position involves assisting with millwork and the fabrication of cabinets and trim in the shop. Fieldwork may include installing and finishing cabinets as needed. Additional duties will vary based on each project. Please note that this description does not encompass all tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned.

Objectives

- Interpret blueprints and construction documents to grasp project scope and requirements comprehensively.
- Confidently perform basic mathematical functions, including fractions
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn company software including ProCore, Google, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and others.
- Cut and work various building materials with safety and precision.
- Fabricate and install items with precision, meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain clear communication with project managers, superintendents, and team members.
- Accurately report hours worked, production, discrepancies, and completed tasks to supervisors.
- Document all processes meticulously and provide regular progress updates.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with job site superintendents.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Manage an organized work area, and ensure all Atlas Woodworks vehicles and equipment are well-maintained.
- Ensure all activities align with the agreed-upon plans and specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Comfortably work from a ladder or scaffolding
- Operate hand tools and power tools comfortably, confidently, and safely
- Properly store, maintain, and perform minor repairs on hand tools and power tools
- Own and bring a set of specified tools each day

Education and Experience
- 1-2 years Carpentry experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 100lbs, perform work overhead and work on your knees for periods of time
- Must possess good hand eye coordination
- Must demonstrate manual dexterity
- Must be able to work while standing/walking for 8 hours
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Must complete and pass a Knowledge and Skills test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
