As a Laborer with AtoZ Site Contractors

Your experience in the following areas will drive your success in this role.

· Perform manual labor in an open excavation

· Complete jobs within specified time lines

· Reading and following design plans and specifications

· Following all safety procedures on the job site and reporting any hazards to management

· Loading, unloading, and identifying materials, machinery, and tools and distributing them to appropriate locations, according to project specifications

· Follow layouts, plans, & supervisor direction

· Digging ditches, trenches or compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels or rakes

· Provide assistance for the crew

We have outlined the skill-set necessary for a candidate's success in this role below.

· Be comfortable working outside in various climates performing physical labor of various degrees

· Have physical capabilities to lift 50 lbs

· Must be able to pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screens

· Be able to follow directions pertaining to site safety, controlling truck traffic, work with operators to coordinate proper placement of material

· Align and position pipes/drainage structures to prepare them for installation in a trench or excavation

· Connect pipe pieces and seal joints by using gaskets or glue

· Cut pipes to required lengths; install fittings and valves, etc.

· Valid driver license

· Considerable knowledge of equipment operations and construction and maintenance procedures including pre-shift equipment inspections and daily logs

· Must be competent and knowledgeable pertaining to OSHA excavation requirements

· Must have a working knowledge of grades and blueprints and working in staked areas

· Must be able to travel between site locations
