Overview
Under the direction and general supervision of the Registered Nurse-Telemetry Unit and under the guidance of the Senior Monitor Technician provides continuous monitoring of patient EKG patterns. Performs clinical duties associated with the monitoring responsibilities. May assist in the training, orientation and guidance of other personnel relating to telemetry. Primary responsibility is for centralized telemetry monitoring; responsibility outside of the department may include performing 12 lead EKG’s and associated responsibilities.
What is required:
High School education or GED
Technical certificate in electrocardiographic technology or equivalent in other healthcare training (e.g., cardiovascular technology, nursing, echocardiography) from an institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges or equivalent accreditation commission OR Two years of EKG monitoring and/or cardiovascular telemetry monitoring OR Current Navicent Health employee and two years of excellent Navicent Health work history.
Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) certification issued by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) desired.
