Our client is a rapidly-growing software company currently looking to hire a Jira Administrator to join their team.

Position Overview:
As a Jira Administrator, you sit at the intersection of the organization’s process and tooling and are responsible for executing on the single unified vision across both. You work with stakeholders at all levels to ensure seamless continuity between people, process, and tooling automation.
Responsibilities of the Jira Administrator:
- Maintain and optimize business-side Jira and Confluence administration, including the creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards, and report configurations
- Work with the business users to evaluate Jira and Confluence plugins, determine licensing needs, and perform testing, installation, and configuration of the plugins
- Implement cross-functional department processes utilizing Jira standard and custom workflows engines, automation scripts, and data-driven reporting tools
- Provide Jira and Confluence subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance and ensure adherence to those standards by performing regular data quality audits
- Work with Business Operations leadership to increase efficiency, decrease margins, and hit systems-based OKRs
- Work closely with the Senior Technical Program Manager, Tooling Operations to execute the broader vision for optimal tooling use to automate or simplify processes
- Utilize design skills to define Jira workflows, field configurations, components, permissions, notification schemes, and screen schemes for complex and high-impact projects
- Responsible for administration, maintenance, upgrades, enhancements to JIRA, Confluence, and integrations with other major systems, tools, and plugins
- Work closely with the Director of Knowledge Management to create an intuitive Confluence space for end users
- Assist with training for employees and new hires regarding how to use existing Atlassian tools, new functionality, etc.
- Manage user permissions for tools according to functional areas, production processes, and projects teams
- Create reports, dashboards, and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports
Qualifications of the Jira Administrator:
- 2 – 3 years of experience working directly in Atlassian tools
- Exposure to an Agile software development environment
- Experience in managing goals via OKRs and building the tooling to facilitate
- Knowledgeable in Agile software development cycles, Scrum, and ideally other disciplines (i.e. Lean, Kanban, XP practices)
- Extensive experience administering software planning tools and/or project management tools
- Strong communication skills
- Creative problem-solver with a passion for making complex things simple(r)
- Groovy experience is a plus
- Keen ability to work with stakeholders on a regular basis.
- A natural leader with the ability to build things from scratch.
- A knack for creating structure wherever it’s needed
- Empathetic with excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts and information to a broad audience
