What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Security Technician position at ATSC IES INC?
Reports to the Project Manager (PM). Assist the coordinating installations, maintenance, and upgrades of DOD Security Systems. Provides recommendations to Project Manager. Sr. Technician. Oversees other Technicians and subcontractors.
Qualifications
Sr. Technician:
- Possesses specific OEM certifications for the type of equipment to be utilized. (Additional OEM certification training may be provided for the right candidate)
- Possesses a minimum of ten years of technical experience in a specific function/technological area related to physical or electronic security systems.
- Possesses an Associate’s degree or equivalent in that functional/technological area. An additional two years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Working knowledge of physical and electronic security systems and equipment, as well as their installation, test and operation is required.
- Clear understanding of change management, including ability to operate constructively in a changing environment, deal effectively with conflict, multiple priorities, new assignments, and able to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with capability to utilize these to build strong business relationships with employees at all levels
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Certifications with any of the following systems ACS/IDS systems: Lenel, Vindicator, Lynx and Advantor
- Certifications with any of the following VMS systems: Milestone, VICADS
Additional
- Prefer someone with experience with installation of Security systems for DOD facilities that include SCIFs, buildings, perimeter, and flight lines.
- It’s a plus to have working knowledge of Air Force Electronic security systems doctrine (AF 31-101)
Responsibilities
- Communicates with stakeholders to solicit input, define requirements, and provide updates to the PM
- Communicate new requirements, concerns, and issues to Management as appropriate.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work may be performed outside in hot and cold desert environments or inclement weather conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work including PFDs, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required.
