Payroll Specialist
Position Summary
Payroll Specialist responsible and manages all of Process payroll functions. First line of contact for employees and managers. The right candidate must have 2-3 years of experience and a quick learner.
Responsibilities
- Performs employee payroll and ancillary duties.
- Conduct regularly scheduled audits of payroll records to ensure continued accuracy.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and other special cycle payrolls for approximately 2500 employees.
- Evaluate Time Tracking and Absence.
- Upload time into payroll system.
- Audit payroll registers.
- Distributes payroll and associate reports.
- Process off cycle checks when necessary.
- Collect and process payroll authorization forms.
- Collaborate with Benefits, Human Resources, and Accounting/Finance.
- Process retroactive benefits deductions.
- Monitor Inbox for new hires, salary changes, transfer, etc. to update necessary fields.
- Assist with urgent and unexpected situations as needed.
- Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and complete mandatory company compliance training by prescribed deadlines.
Requirements
- 2-3 years payroll experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field preferred
- Experience with Paycom or other systems (preferred)
- Display flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Maintains confidentiality. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meets prescribed deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
- Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.
