What You’ll Do:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Project Manager to join our rapidly growing Brand Partnerships team. The Project Manager is a team leader, responsible for planning and managing a project with the goal of ensuring high quality throughout the lifecycle of a project. Project Managers are problem solvers and risk assessors who can remain calm and help negotiate the best course of action for the project and the team. Project Managers are assigned to 5-7 projects at a time.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sr. Project Manager(s), project sponsor(s), and functional team leads to help define project approach
- Brief team on scope, team roles, communications plan, budget, and schedule
- Collaborate daily with Client Services, Creative, Sales, Production, and Post-Production team leads on assigned projects ranging from $50K to $5M in size
- Own development and maintenance of project timelines and work breakdown structure
- Ensure all stakeholders assigned to project are aligned and held accountable on a project’s workflow, timelines, deliverables and requirements
- Communicate both detailed and high-level progress to stakeholders at-large including executives
- Proactively anticipate, assess, communicate, and mitigate potential risks, utilizing contingency plans as necessary and collaboratively problem-solve with project stakeholders
- Regularly organize and run internal milestone meetings such as project kickoffs and creative reviews
- Record and distribute meeting and review notes in project team repositories such as Trello
- Log lessons-learned throughout the project and conduct post-mortem meetings at project closure
- Project Management Office - Help to standardize and introduce new processes and workflows within the organization
Qualifications:
- 3 years of project or account management experience at a production company, publisher or agency
- Experience with both short and long-form video production, especially the post-production process
- Experience creating and managing project timelines using project management software (Smartsheet, MS Project, Workfront, etc.)
- Comfortable using various data management systems and tools (CMS, Excel, Google and Microsoft suites etc.)
- Experience helping creative teams navigate through projects and meet internal deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
- Appreciation for team-based work that requires a consistently even-keeled attitude and solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively on a regular cadence to wide audiences on overall project health, articulate complex situations in simple terms and clearly identify next steps
- Proven ability to manage through influence in complex organizational structures and solve for the short term while constantly thinking of sustainable long-term plans
- Empathy and the ability to read the room
- PMI PMP Certification, beneficial
