Family Law Associate Attorney

Our growing law firm is looking to hire a Family Attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. You must be barred in the state of Georgia and in good standing.
Compensation:$75,000 - $125,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
- Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
- Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
- Keep client files properly organized and up to date
- Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process
- Develop case strategy and guide clients from the start to the end of the case
- Prepare witnesses and cases for litigation and successfully take cases to trial, introducing evidence, examining and cross-examining witnesses, and presenting opening and closing arguments as well as preserving the case for a possible appeal
- Draft pleadings, orders, settlement agreements, parenting plans, child support worksheets, and addendums
- Enjoy helping families with divorce and child custody cases
- Litigate cases at least three times per week
- Manage cases and delight clients
- Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
- Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants
- J.D. required
- Licensed in the State of Georgia in Good Standing
