Position Summary
The Restaurant General Manager has the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of a restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting and retention of team members, financial accountability, ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer and other duties as required or assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned facility and taking ownership of your restaurant's success metrics and lead restaurant team to reach goals.
- Control profit & loss, follow cash control / security procedures, maintain inventory, manage labor, review financial reports, and taking appropriate business actions as needed.
- Lead the guest experiences in your restaurant by meeting and exceeding customer service guidelines by maintaining the highest standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Grow and mentor your team through training, development and onboarding new team members.
- Lead communications of your team's goals, upcoming promotions, business updates, etc.
- Inspire the overall positive and collaborative family environment.
- Partner with other Restaurant General Managers and Area Leaders to grow and move the business forward.
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years old with a HS diploma or equivalent. Associates/Bachelors Degree a plus;
- 3 - 5 years of leadership experience in the fast food/quick serve restaurant, hospitality or retail industry;
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable, personal transportation;
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and work in a high energy, fast paced, ever changing environment;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with emphasis on customer service;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to resolve problems;
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, high-energy individual who can multitask well;
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability and desire to develop creative solutions to problems and continuously improve systems and processes.
