The Technical Trainer is responsible for training and developing Watchmakers and Operators involved in servicing AP products within North America. He/she aims to achieve goals in terms of delivery lead times, repair quality and costs, and builds a strong brand. The Technical Trainer will be responsible for continuously influencing the increased consistency of the Audemars Piguet brand standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide necessary technical skills and knowledge to internal trainees and confirmed watchmakers employed by AP affiliates;
- Create inspiring and informative technical training content and tools that provide clear and relevant guidelines and expectations needed to elevate skills and drive performance;
- Create a dynamic learning environment when delivering core training content; Engage participants & check for understanding;
- Vocational watchmaking training activities (on going &/or certification trainings) according to the contents of the AP corporate training syllabus;
- Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to identify watchmaking teams development needs, and create action plans, in order to reach Corporate target;
- Evaluate the degree of knowledge acquisition for each Trainee /Watchmaker/Operators in order to guarantee optimum repair quality on AP watches;
- Acquire full autonomy on Sensorial Metrology and to participle to key assessments when required;
- Assist with training centers audit on Markets (tools, equipment, technical information, workshop performance);
- Provide support during retail events as needed;
- Acquire necessary knowledge on AP calibers (R030 to R060) and to maintain personal dexterity and level of certification.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Technical Trainer, specifically with watches;
- Watchmaker with WOSTEP, SAWTA, AWCI 21 or similar certification required;
- Strong verbal, written and facilitation skills;
- Experience facilitating watchmaker training programs and workshops;
- A collaborative team player – concerned with the team success as well as individual performance;
- Visible Leadership skills – can motivate others to achieve;
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with employees at all levels of the organization;
- Strong command of MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint;
- 10% travel required.

Salary : $49,700 - $63,000
