Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Strategy & Design:
- Design and develop cloud architectures that meet business needs and align with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategy, including the selection of appropriate cloud services, tools, and technologies.
- Implementation & Deployment:
- Lead the migration of existing applications to the cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to facilitate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
- Security & Compliance:
- Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Optimization & Cost Management:
- Continuously monitor cloud usage and implement strategies to optimize performance and reduce costs.
- Evaluate and implement cloud cost management tools to track and report on cloud expenditures.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud services with applications and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers and developers.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and procedures.
- Regularly report on cloud infrastructure performance, issues, and recommendations to senior management.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing cloud solutions for large-scale enterprises.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform).
- Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
