What are the responsibilities and job description for the NS CATERING ASST position at Augusta Health Brand?
Position prepares foods for employees and guests, catering request; prepares foods according to catering sheets, catering request. Ensures proper temperatures for all food, temps logged on catering request. Consistently check holding temperatures of hot food to ensure quality and keeping with sanitation guidelines, temps logged on catering request. Promptly reports food shortages, outdated items or any foods received in poor condition.
Experience:
1 year catering or banquet experience required
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
License Requirements:
Must be able to achieve certification in food sanitation.
Must be able to achieve certification in Food Sanitation through State Health Department certification classes.
Skill Requirements
Must be able to interpret recipe used.
Must be able to use computer for retrieval and editing of catering request.
Must demonstrate working knowledge of food service sanitation and use accepted techniques in handling, preparation and service of food items to customers.
Must have or be able to acquire knowledge to expand or reduce recipe quantities.
Must know basic food prep techniques, including receiving, storage, preparation, and holding of food items.
Must know weights and measures.
