Auria, a leading Tier-1 supplier of interior carpet components for the automotive industry, has a full-time Supply Chain Manager position available at the Sidney, Ohio location. The plant is a three-shift, just-in-time, unionized facility. This position is a staff-level position and reports directly to the Plant Manager. Auria is an equal opportunity employer.
POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Has overall responsibility for the materials management function relating to the planning, procurement, storage, controlling and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements
- Supervises direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
- Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements, while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges
- Oversees and ensures proper production control planning and scheduling programs are in place to meet sales forecasts and to balance the level of manpower and machine requirements
- Investigates and resolves problems resulting from material shortages
- Oversees the shipping/receiving and logistics functions
- Works closely with manufacturing and other departments concerning materials management and delivery performance
- Ensures the company's standard practices and procedures are followed
- Has overall responsibility for proper model-year phase out programs to minimize obsolescence
Requirements
Education:
- BS/BA required
Experience:
- (5) five or more years’ experience Supervising in a supplier/materials and logistics management role
Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong knowledge of QAD
- Experience in a union, manufacturing facility for the automotive industry preferred
- Familiarity with automotive EDI systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $136,354.00 per year
