What are the responsibilities and job description for the Photography Tour Guide position at Aurora In Alaska?
Thank you for considering Aurora In Alaska for your employment. We are a team of professionals that enjoy the work we do and enjoy sharing Alaska’s beauty with others. We enjoy taking travelers from around the world on nightly Aurora Experiences as well as trips to Chena Hot Springs.
We are Looking for an individual who enjoys the outdoors with an excellent customer first attitude. This is a seasonal position as the Aurora season operates Aug - April. We have full time and part time positions available.
Experience or knowledge of photography or living in Alaska is a plus. Work schedules start at 4PM - 1AM or 8PM - 4AM depending on the tour planned for that night. If this sounds like a fun opportunity and you are looking for a full time or part time job please submit a resume.
Compensation: $15/hr training pay. Once you are approved to guide on your own you will graduate from training pay. For some this only takes 1 week or for others it can be up to two weeks depending on how quickly you are able to learn or previous experience. $30/hr starting pay Typical nightly tips range from $45 - $150.
Requirements:
-Valid drivers license
-Clean driving record
-Over the age 21
-Pass a DOT/Drug test
-Able to lift 50 lbs daily
-All black dress code.
-Comfortable working outside in cold weather
