This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that specializes in sales and marketing of consumer goods to major retailers.

The analyst position will play an important role to the management team managing many of the day-to-day operational activities as well as supporting longer term strategic initiatives.

The role will be analytical and strategic in nature. The analyst will extract data, prepare the data for presentations, apply critical thinking, and make recommendations that will enhance the business moving forward. The analyst will also present findings to the management team and our clients.

Primary Responsibilities of an Analyst:

• Quantitative Analysis: Manage the delivery of timely analyses to support insight development. Run ad-hoc analysis upon request and provide actionable insights with recommendations for next steps. Should be able to research, understand, and explain to our clients the “why” of how their sales are changing.
• Product/Project Management: Proactively initiating, planning, executing and bringing closure to specific goals over a specific time.
• Administrative: Preparing and sending weekly sales reports as needed. Communicate effectively, both verbally and on paper, to management. Assist with communication and reporting on sales performance, seasonal sales and sell thru, and promotional plans.

Qualifications of a Analyst:

• Ability to analyze mid-size data sets in a Microsoft Excel environment, derive insights from that data, and communicate those insights effectively.
• Proficient in PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact and influence at multiple levels within the organization.
• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with the capacity to identify and re-adjust priorities as needed.
• Experience with retail category analysis and/or strategy in a retail or CPG environment
• Minimum 1 year retail experience. Retail store experience or shopper marketing experience a plus.
• 2 Year college degree required.
• Nielsen and IRI experience preferred.
• The ideal candidate would also possess a basic understanding of finance and accounting.

We are looking for a data analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and analytics, and the ability to think critically about how we analyze and report on our data. This role will be responsible for creating and analyzing reports and dashboards, as well as analyzing trends across the organization. This role will also be responsible for creating reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools that help us better understand our business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications)
• 3 years of experience in a data analysis role
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
