Applications Specialist

Headquartered within Sydney Australia, AusDiagnostics is a local primary manufacturer of a range of molecular diagnostic instrumentation and reagents for use within human, veterinary and food diagnostics. AusDiagnostics have direct sales & operations throughout the globe.

About the role
The primary objective of this role is to help maintain existing customer relationships through application and technical assistance on the field, train users on the portfolio, conduct product demonstrations and achieve company KPIs and corporate objectives. The role will work closely with Sales, Service and Support teams to ensure high level customer service. We are looking for a Field Applications Specialist to join our US office.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing and potential AusDiagnostics customers
• Achieving KPIs and corporate objectives
• Participating in regular strategy meetings with sales and support teams to improve customer service
• Maintaining CRM system
• Conducting regular competitor analysis across the field
• Conducting product demonstrations
• Acquiring an in-depth understanding of portfolio and technology to competently assist in applications support
• Training users on applications of AusDiagnostics reagents
• Assisting Sales teams with technical support
• Troubleshooting customer queries, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions.

Essential Requirements:

• Tertiary level education, such as B.Sc. or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within field-based technical support or similar role
• Strong customer service focus with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of PCR methodology
• Previous instrumentation service experience
• A high level of analytical skills
• A positive attitude with the drive and work ethic to meet KPIs
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Initiative and the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Fluency in English
• Previous experience within biotech industry is highly preferred.
